Dr. Nungsari Ahmad Radhi was appointed as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Malaysia Airports on 9 May 2024 and subsequently re-designated and appointed as Chairman on 13 May 2024. He brings extensive experience in economics, public policy, corporate governance, and leadership across government-linked entities and research institutions.
He currently also serves as Chairman of the Khazanah Research Institute, İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen Uluslararası Havalimanı Yatırım Yapım ve İşletme A.Ş., and SGC Havalimanı İşletmeleri Ticaret ve Turizm A.Ş. He is also a member of the Policy Advisory Committee to the Prime Minister and the National Economic Action Council, in addition to serving on the boards of Bank Negara Malaysia and Koperasi Tunas Muda Sungai Ara Berhad. He contributes further as an Advisory Board Member of Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera and Trustee of Yayasan Rahimah binti Yusof.
Throughout his career, Dr. Nungsari has held senior executive positions in companies under the Minister of Finance (Incorporated), including Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Prokhas Sdn Bhd, Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad, DanaInfra Nasional Berhad, and Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Berhad. He has also served on the boards of statutory and corporate bodies such as the National Productivity Council, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Bank Pertanian Malaysia Berhad, and CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad.
In 2016, he was appointed Commissioner of the Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM), later serving as its Executive Chairman from July 2018 to April 2020.
Dr. Nungsari holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University, USA, as well as a PhD in Economics from Purdue University, USA.
