Dato’ Zamzuri Abdul Aziz was appointed as Director of Malaysia Airports on 5 June 2023. He is currently the Deputy Secretary General of Treasury (Policy) at the Ministry of Finance, where he plays a central role in shaping Malaysia’s fiscal and economic policies.

 

He also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). His board appointments include Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad, Pembinaan PFI Sdn Bhd, University of Malaya, Yayasan Keluarga Malaysia, and Samalaju Industrial Port Sdn Bhd. He is also an Alternate Trustee of the National B40 Protection Fund (mySalam). Within Malaysia Airports, he serves as a Member of the Board Government-Funded Capital and Projects Committee.

 

Dato’ Zamzuri began his career in 1995 as an Assistant Director at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) before joining the Administrative and Diplomatic Service. He later served in the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, before joining the Ministry of Finance in 1998. He rose through key positions in the Budget Management Division and subsequently served as Under Secretary, Government Procurement Division, before assuming senior roles at both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance.

 

Dato’ Zamzuri holds a Bachelor of Economics (Business Administration) (Hons.) from the University of Malaya, a Master in Economics (Islamic Finance) from the National University of Malaysia, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN). He has also completed executive programmes at Harvard Business School, INTAN, and Universiti Utara Malaysia–Kellogg School of Management.
