Dato’ Normah Osman was appointed as Director of Malaysia Airports on 20 October 2023. She is currently the Deputy Secretary General (Policy) of the Ministry of Transport, where she oversees policy formulation and strategic direction in the transport sector. Prior her current appointment, she had served the Board of Malaysia Airports from April 2021 to April 2023.

 

She also serves on the boards of Bintulu Port Authority and Maritime Institute of Malaysia, and an Authority Member of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM). Within Malaysia Airports, she is a Member of the Board Government-Funded Capital and Projects Committee.

 

Dato’ Normah began her career with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) in 1995. She held various senior roles, including overseas postings as Minister Counsellor for Economic Affairs in Singapore and Brussels. At MITI, she led divisions covering ASEAN cooperation, bilateral trade, and multilateral negotiations.

 

Beyond MITI, she served as Deputy Secretary General (Policy & Entrepreneurial Strategy) at the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, and later as Division Secretary at the Ministry of Education. She assumed her current role at the Ministry of Transport in 2020.

 

Dato’ Normah holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) from the National University of Malaysia, a Diploma in Public Administration from INTAN, and a Master of Arts in Management from Claremont Graduate University, California, USA.
