Datuk Amran Hafiz Affifudin was appointed as Director of Malaysia Airports on 1 September 2023. He has extensive experience in corporate finance, private equity, and investment management, with a proven record of leadership in major corporations and government-linked companies.
He is currently the Managing Director of UEM Group Berhad, and also chairs UEM Lestra Berhad, Konsortium ProHAWK Sdn Bhd, and N.U.R Power Sdn Bhd. He sits on the boards of Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad, PLUS Malaysia Berhad, Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad, UEM Builders Berhad, UEM Edgenta Berhad, UEM Sunrise Berhad, and several others. Within Malaysia Airports, he is Chairman of the Board Commercial and Operations Committee and a Member of the Board Government-Funded Capital and Projects Committee.
Datuk Amran began his career in 1997 with PETRONAS in corporate finance and treasury. He later gained significant exposure in private equity before joining Khazanah Nasional Berhad in 2011, where he served as Executive Director and Head of Asset Development Group, overseeing Malaysian investments.
He also contributed as a Board Member of Tenaga Nasional Berhad from 2017 to 2023.
Datuk Amran holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance, from the University of Virginia, USA, and has completed executive programmes at Harvard Business School, USA, and the London Business School, UK.
