Michael McGhee was appointed as Director of Malaysia Airports on 28 July 2025. He brings extensive experience in investment banking and transport infrastructure, with a focus on airports, ports, and freight rail.
He is the Founding Partner and Deputy Chairman of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), where he leads the transport sector industry investment teams and oversees major infrastructure projects globally.
Michael previously served as Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division and Head of Global Transportation and Logistics at Credit Suisse (1998–2006) and as Managing Director and Head of Transportation at BZW (1990–1998).
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Economics from the University of Manchester, UK.
