Gordon Andrew Stewart was appointed as Malaysia Airports’ Chief Operating Officer, Airport Operations Malaysia on 1 October 2023.

He brings a wealth of experience from his extensive involvement in the aviation industry, gained through his prior roles at various renowned airports worldwide. Gordon started his career with IBM United Kingdom in 1990 as an International Project and Manufacturing Engineer, then moved to Compaq in 1995 as a Continous Improvement Specialist and acquired his Six Sigma Black Belt.
In 2001, he joined Bombardier Transportation to lead changes in its project risk management and subsequently moved to First ScotRail, where he was responsible for turning around the company’s CAPEX projects. Gordon then moved into the aviation industry with his stint at Edinburgh Airport, Bahrain Airport Company, Maldives Airports Company Limited, and most recently, daa International.

Gordon holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, major in Strategy from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing System Engineering from the University of Paisley, United Kingdom.
