Steven Andersen joined Malaysia Airports as Chief Development Officer on 6 August 2025, and is responsible for leading the company’s group wide strategic development, airport infrastructure planning, and major capital programmes to support the Group's long-term growth and network expansion. He is responsible for shaping development strategy, managing large-scale projects, and fostering partnerships that advance Malaysia Airports’ objectives for sustainable infrastructure and commercial development.
Prior to joining Malaysia Airports, Steven held senior leadership roles in airport development and infrastructure delivery across international markets, focusing on project execution, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of major capital programmes. He brings extensive experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, completing complex projects on time and within budget, and aligning infrastructure investment with broader commercial and operational objectives. Steven is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of international experience in the aviation and infrastructure sectors. He brings a proven track record in leading large-scale, complex infrastructure programmes and managing multi-airport operations. His career spans the Middle East, Europe and North America.
