ISGIA is one of the two international airports serving Istanbul and is located on the Asian continent of Istanbul with a distance of 40 km from the city centre. It is the second largest airport in Turkey, handling over 30 million passengers.</p><p style=\"margin-bottom:12px \">In 2008, Malaysia Airports, together with its consortium partners, Limak Group (Limak) of Turkey and GMR Infrastructure Limited (GMR) won the 20-year concession to operate and build a new terminal for ISGIA. After the signing of implementation agreement with Turkish’s Ministry of Defence, the consortium took over the operations of ISGIA in May 2008. Following the exit of GMR and Limak in year 2014 and 2015 respectively, Malaysia Airports increased its stake in ISGIA to 100%, making it the first Asian company to fully own a European Airport. With its last 10 years passenger growth, ISGIA is one of the fastest growing airports in the world and one of Europe’s leading airports operating on a single runway.</p><p style=\"margin-bottom:12px \">With the recent completion of boarding hall expansion, ISGIA is now capable of handling 41 million passengers per year. Since then, MACS has increased its business activities through its involvement in various business and projects both in Malaysia and overseas.</p><p style=\"margin-bottom:12px \">We have provided our airport operations and management skills in various aviation-related fields including airport fire and rescues service and aviation security courses to participants from across the Asia Pacific region. Our training facilities are certified and recognised by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Airport Council International (ACI) and Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).</p><p style=\"margin-bottom:12px \">Our overseas ventures also include investments in various overseas airports in countries such as the Republic of Maldives, India and Turkey.</p></div>"},"labelData":{}}
