Malaysia Airports has been receiving regular updates from its Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (ISG) on the situation following reports of an attempted military coup in Turkey. We are glad to inform that all our staff and their families at ISG are safe. Based on the latest information from our staff at ISG, airport operations still continued to process incoming flights and some departures. The airport management is doing its best to provide comfort and assistance to all passengers within the terminal premise.
However the situation is still fluid and passengers are advised to check with the respective airlines on scheduled flights in and out of ISG and all Turkish flights to and from KLIA.
We continue to exercise vigilant security and safety surveillance at the airport and will update on any major developments.
