Sepang, 12 May 2014 - The operations at klia2 is stabilising into its fourth day of operations since it's largest airline AirAsia moved to klia2 on 9 May. Malaysia Airports continues to work closely with all the stakeholders including airlines, government agencies and service contractors towards ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and are well on their way to normal operations.

In the 24-hour period from 12.00 am 11 May to 12.00 am 12 May, klia2 handled a total of 64,200 passengers with 463 flight movements from the 9 airlines operating at the new terminal now. Malaysia Airports continues to have its daily meetings with all the stakeholders to monitor the operations in order for the expected level of passenger comfort and convenience to be delivered accordingly. All the systems such as Check-in Systems, Gate Allocation System, Baggage Handling System and Aerobridges are working efficiently.

The public transport systems reported close to 2000 taxi trips and 3000 passengers taking the buses. The ERL services continue to run well.
