Malaysia Airports Celebrates Hari Sukan Negara @ KLIA

SEPANG – Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (Malaysia Airports) is proud and honoured to celebrate Hari Sukan Negara, an initiative by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to turn Malaysia into a sporting nation. The ceremony which was held earlier today at its main terminal, KL International Airport (KLIA) seen participation of more than 180 Malaysia Airports employees.

Clad in full sportswear, the management and employees of Malaysia Airports took part in the three-hour event filled with many exciting activities like aerobic sessions, ‘AIRmazing Race’ around the main terminal building and some other fun indoor games.

In his opening speech, Tuan Hj Zainol Md Isa, the General Manager of Malaysia Airports said, “Such a programme brings more than joy to us. Beyond the obvious health benefits, sports teach us much about life. It teaches us about teamwork, getting along with others, and how to work together to achieve a common goal. On behalf of Malaysia Airports, I congratulate YB Khairy Jamaludin and the Ministry of Youth & Sports for making this a national event.”

Malaysia Airports believes in the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle for employees. As such, the company organises regular sports activities and events, which includes its monthly aerobic sessions for employees and passengers at KLIA and klia2 terminals, inter and intra department football tournaments, and other indoor and outdoor sports activities. These activities not only brings much cheer and enthusiasm, it also promotes healthy competition and strengthen the relationship amongst its employees.
